Submission Guidelines
Due to the large number of submissions and a backlog of pending submissions, WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING UNSOLICITED BOOK SUBMISSIONS AT THIS TIME. Submissions will open again in 2025.
We are accepting submissions of short stories, short plays, poetry and opinion essays for the Fall 2024 issue of Lost Lake Folk Opera from April 1-July 31, 2024. This issue's theme: Is American Democracy Dying?
Please select the correct imprint for your submission from our upload forms and look over specific guidelines for each imprint.
Shipwreckt Books accepts submissions year-round, but the general reading and acquisition period occurs between November and February.

We acquire First North American Serial Rights upon acceptance and retain exclusive rights to your submission for six months following publication. Your piece will be archived and may be included in online and/or future retrospective editions. If you republish your work, please attribute first publication to Lost Lake Folk Opera magazine.
